Roles available
This October, we’ll be electing the remaining 9 seats of our Student Council, which is the highest decision-making body at CSU. Student Council Officers represent different demographics and communities of students, making sure their voice is heard when deciding on new policies, campaigns, and ideas.
The seats open for election are:
- Asian, Arab and Ethnic Minority Students’ Officer
- Black Students’ Officer
- Commuting Students’ Officer
- Mature and Parent Students’ Officer
- Disabled Students’ Officer
- Environment and Ethics Officer
- International Students’ Officer
- University Centre Birkenhead Students’ Officer
- University Centre Shrewsbury Students’ Officer
- University Centre Warrington Students’ Officer
Nominations open at 10am on Thursday 10th October. We’ll email you with the link, or you can find it on our website.
Events timetable
We’ll be holding information sessions, manifesto-writing workshops, and campaigning workshops for those of you who want to run, as well as providing support from the CSU office for the entire election period.
- Monday 7th October, 4pm & Wednesday 9th October, 3:30pm, CSU building: Information session – find out everything you need to know about By-Elections! Just turn up.
- Tuesday 8th October, 12pm & Thursday 10th October, 4pm, CSU building: Manifesto-writing workshop – learn what makes a good manifesto! Just turn up.
- Friday 11th October, 12pm, CSU building: Campaigning workshop – get the low-down on how to campaign in-person and digitally! Just turn up.
- Tuesday 15th October, 4pm, Teams (online): Information session – the last info session will be held online. Join the meeting here!
- Wednesday 16th October, 12pm, Teams (online): Manifesto-writing and Campaigning workshop – double bill for last-minute tips. Join the meeting here!
