It’s that time of year again when things start getting a little… hairy. Movember is here, and CSU is stepping up to raise awareness (for men’s health).

This November, we’re calling on students across campus to Grow a Mo, Move for Movember in our TASH ME IF YOU CAN CAMPAIGN, and start conversations that could save lives.

Movember is a global movement where people grow moustaches throughout November to shine a spotlight on men’s health issues – including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. It’s about breaking the silence, challenging stigma, and reminding everyone that it’s okay to talk about what’s going on in their heads.

Why it matters to us as students

University life can be exciting, but it’s also a time when many students face real mental health challenges – exam pressure, stress, loneliness, or uncertainty about the future.

By taking part in Movember, we’re saying no one has to go through that alone. We’re here to support each other, check in with our mates, and start real conversations about mental and physical wellbeing.

How to get involved

Grow a Mo (moustache)

Start clean-shaven then grow and groom a moustache for the rest of the month — no beards, no goatees, just a Mo. Join here.

Move for Movember – In our Tash Me If You Can Campaign
This Movember, we’re joining the “Mo Uni Mo’ Power Project” to cover the most distance across UK Universities – and we want UoC to come out on top 💪
Each uni in the project has its own community, and every kilometre counts.
Doesn’t matter if you run, cycle, swim or walk – just log your distance and it’ll add to our total.
Let’s show the rest of the UK what Chester’s made of.
