Hi everyone!
For those who don’t know, my name is Adedayo, and I am your VP Education for the 2024/2025 academic year here at Chester Students’ Union. Along with the rest of the team, I am determined to work as hard as possible to improve your student academic experience and make your voice heard.
Just so you know, we kicked off the journey with a great onboarding week, which included insightful handover sessions with the previous elected officers Ellie Smith (President), Jack Sanderson (VP Education), and Tom Scott (VP Student Life). It was fantastic to learn from their experiences and gather valuable insights to carry forward.
Under the leadership of our fantastic CEO Jamie Morris, we also took personality tests to better understand each other’s strengths and working styles, which I believe will be instrumental in fostering a cohesive and effective team. Knowing how we can best support one another will undoubtedly help us serve our student community more effectively.

And to top it all off, we had an exciting escape room session on our first day in office coordinated by Holly Robinson-Crane, our Democracy and Campaigns Coordinator! I must admit, I had no clue what we were doing at the beginning, but it turned out to be an amazing team-building exercise. I loved it! The camaraderie and problem-solving skills we exhibited together are a testament to the great things we can achieve as a team.
I am sure with the support of my fellow elected officers President Lillian Watson and VP Student Life Summer Ainscough, we will make a positive impact to our student members at the University of Chester.
These blogs will continue throughout the year, keeping you up to date with what I have been getting up to, how I am working to ensure your voice is heard, as well as letting you know about the wins we have achieved to improve YOUR student experience. Please look out for me on all social media platforms to keep up to date with what I am getting up to, as well as being the first to know when my new blog posts are live!
Looking forward to the year ahead.
Adedayo.
